An important connection between the people of Saudi Arabia and India is the Indian diaspora in Saudi Arabia. The Indian population in Saudi Arabia, which numbers more than 2.65 million, is well-known for its contributions to the Kingdom's progress and serves as a "living bridge" between the two countries.
Indians who live and work in Saudi Arabia are important to the two nations' relations, according to Salman Khurshid, president of the India Islamic Cultural Center and a former foreign minister of his nation.
In order to enhance the assistance and services the cultural center offers to all Indians, both in India and abroad, he continued, he and his staff are striving to adopt reforms and improvements at the institution.
Khurshid, who was chosen as the center's president in August of last year, was in Riyadh on Friday for an event where he spoke with Indian expats about their experiences working and living in the Kingdom.
